Knife recovered after ‘fight inside Primark’ in Wembley leaves man with head injuries

Wembley High Road was forced to temporarily close off this week as police dealt with a fight in Primark.

The incident happened on Wednesday, (September 2) and resulted with a man being rushed to hospital with head injuries after a fight is reported to have taken place inside the store.

Shocked members of the public commented on social media saying: “this is just ridiculous, we are not safe in shops anymore let alone on the street. What can be done when people are bringing knives into shops and fighting during the day. Just insanity.”

A Met Police spokesperson said: “Police were called at 5.10pm on Wednesday September 2 to reports of a fight inside a shop on High Road in Wembley.

“Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended. A man was taken to a north London hospital suffering from a head injury; his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

“The man has been arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon.

“A knife was recovered at the scene.

“Enquiries continue.”
